so today's plans were to play badminton in the afternoon and go get dinner with some of my friends. well, i played badminton with my friends, though i thought a couple more people were going to show up, but there was still hella people so we had to wait for a court. later, my friend's mom didn't pick her up so she walked home instead, she told me that her mom was coming, so i didn't ask to give her a ride home. later i meet up with my friend, lyly, at the cafe. we chilled there for a while, our other friend, keane, came and we were all chilling at the cafe. then we decided to order, we were waiting for a while, and lyly and i were starving. so we eat. then kaide calls me when we're done that it was getting kind of late and she didn't want to come cuz it was already past 8, so we decided to do a rain check on that. then it was just the 3 of us, we got dessert and walked around downtown, our lame downtown.

so basically my summer has been so boring. all i do is get up, go to work, come home, watch gilmore girls, go online, read (sometimes), and sleep. then i start all over. weekends are all i have to look forward to, but now that chinese school is over i do like nothing. :| plus i haven't gotten paid yet so no shopping but i finally managed to make some plans with my friends for this weekend so today, i planned to go shopping after work with my friend and watch dark knight at 9. but it turns out that her dad surprised her with concert tickets, so i had to look for someone else to go with me. my sister and her bf ended up going with me. the movie was GREAT. seriously, you should watch it if you haven't. it was almost 3 hours long, we got there like an hour early to wait in line. it was soooo awesome, heath ledger played a great joker. i finally came home by midnight, went online for a few hours, and looked at boots <3 then i slept.

last day of chinese school after going to this school for about ten years, its sad to leave this place. although i don't think i'll be missing coming here once a week for three hours "learning" chinese compared to the great friends i made here. these girls are irreplaceable, and i love them to death [ wendyy, lilyy, tinaa, karenn, kristii and everyone else, i <3 you guys! ]

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENDY!

    july 5th 2008
one month later, i finally have my grad party. it was nothing too fancy. i played some tennis and badminton (on the streets, lol) and it made me realize that i needed to get some actual birdies! it was a pretty warm day. i suck at tennis, it takes too much effort to get better, badminton is way easier, sorta, depending who you're playing against. later i went to quickly with my sis and her bf, we ordered like 17 drinks and got an ice cream cake for our mom. went home, chilled, watched WALL-E, which is the best movie of the summer! ate cake, and i got a tv for my dorm! yay that's like one thing i can cross off my list of things to get for my dorm

    Friday Fives

    1. If you could change one life-changing event in the life of someone important to you, would you?
    Yes.

    2. Which do you think is easier to do, being friends for many years, or being life partners for many years?
    Being friends for many years.

    3. Have you ever walked away from someone you considered a friend?
Well I don't intentionally walk away from a friend, I usually just lose touch with them :|

    4. If you had to choose between telling the truth and hurting a friend or lying and making them happy, which would you choose?

It depends on the issue, sure I would tell the truth if it means that it will hurt them (like that hat makes your head look big) or I would lie to them to make them happy (like, that was a really good speech).

    5. Which would you rather hear--the truth which will hurt, or the comforting lie?
Hmmm, sometimes I would prefer the truth, but other times I would rather not know.

    1. Do you have a favourite cause that you support?
    American Cancer Society.

    2. If so, how do you support it?
I was part of the youth council group and I co-founded the club in my high school, which entitled me to participate in various activities held by the ACS.

    3. Have you been an active member of an organization (attending meetings, volunteering etc)?
    Yes, ACS, Acterra, Second Harvest...

    4. Have you ever led any group?
    Yes

    5. If so, how was your experience with it?
One example was during outdoor ed, I was a co-cabin leader for about a week supervising about twelve 5th graders, it was fun.

    1. What drink wakes you up best in the morning?
I don't really drink drinks in the morning, but I guess coffee could wake me up.

    2. During the day, what do you drink to keep going?
I usually drink water, maybe tea.

    3. Do you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water per day? Why/why not?
No, because that is a myth.

    4. What are the ingredients of your favorite mixed drink? (Doesn't have to be alcoholic!)
Honey + Green tea = mmmm

    5. Are you a coffee drinker? How do you take your coffee, if so?
    No.

    the Friday five

    1) what is one thing about you that you hate?
I hate that I am usually tardy.

    2) what is one thing about you that you love?
I love that I can accept myself and others who who I am and who they are.

    3) if you had to change one thing about you what would it be and why?
I would be less of a procrastination and be more hard working. Why? Why not, procrastination is obviously not the most desirous qualities a person would want, plus being an extremely hard worker pays off in the end.

    4) what is one word that you would use to define yourself?

    casual

    5) imagine what you would look like in a perfect world...what do you look like?
probably the same, perfect hair, perfect nails, perfect everything.

First week of work over! Sitting at a desk for six hours is pretty boring, but I just found out how much I get paid and I'm pretty excited about it. I decided that I am going to put half of it in my savings for college so that I don't spend it all like I did working at Macy's, haha. After work, KK and I went to the movies and watched Get Smart, it was pretty good, Steve Carell is so funny! After the movies, I met up with my friend and went to eggetts, then Quickly for dinner, yummmy, I need to try their frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt is becoming so popular now.

    Monday, June 16
First day of work. It really didn't feel like work, that's the best part. So basically I get paid to sit at the desk and edit film from the Sichuan earthquake in China, it is a pretty educational job, and the best part is that I don't dread going there. Unlike Quickly or Macy's, ughhhh, it's not that bad. I've had like no experience film editing before, so that makes it cool to know that that's ok. The first day was pretty slow...

    Thursday, June 12
Drove back home today. We didn't go as fast... sorta. So there's like a quarter of a gallon in my tank, and my friend was driving and he tells me this, so I'm like ok we'll go to the next station, but the next one wasn't for like another 20 miles, so I'm like well you should probably drive a little slower (he was going about 80) and I'm all like thinking, driving faster doesn't help when you're low on gas! It was always so awkward when Ron was in the front of the car, because if KK or I was driving the car would be like completely silent, except for the radio. But whenever it was KK and I in the front, we would be constantly talking, lmao. So we went home, a few hours later a couple of my friends came over. We were playing SSB on the old nintendo, so different from the wii. After that we were playing twister, lol, I lasted like 3 minutes, I couldn't stop laughing! and then we played apples to apples, pretty fun card game!

    Wednesday, June 11
We decided not to leave so early today. So we stayed at the room until the afternoon. Finally got lunch and went to the park. Rode on more rides and made a better use of our flash passes. We used it on all of the rides except for X2, that one just came out, and it was so worth the two hour wait! That ride was so awesome! No lie, its like one of those rides that you see on tv shows that over exaggerate about a roller coaster, that ride was like one of those over exaggerated roller coasters. You basically move 360* around and around, and the first drop was insane! There was also surprising elements there too, considering that this was the only ride we actually had to legitly wait, it was so worth it. We saw the Batman show later, it was pretty good, took pictures, we went towards the front of the line for most of the rides that day. It is so much more fun, even though its a bit slower, its so much better to enjoy. Haha, so when we were on Goliath, we made the funniest picture ever. Ron looks like he's on the verge of saying mofo, KK looks insane, and I look like I'm making a thizz face, rofl! It was pretty cold down here, surprisingly... Went to dinner at rubio's, mmm, then the hotel room, watched 21, it was a pretty good movie, not worth the $13 that my friend paid for, I liked the NUMB3RS episode better, more math involved, they didn't explain much in the movie.

    Tuesday, June 10
Woke up at around 4AM, got dressed, stopped by Safeway to get water and ice, and began our senior trip to Magic Mountain. I had the first shift, basically its about 390 miles south, and I'm driving the first hour while my friend's drove the other shifts. Basically google maps predicted that we'd get there in a little over five hours, we cut that down to four hours. It's not like we were in a hurry, because we got there before the park even opened, but my friends are like speed demons, plus speeding on highway five is a given. I was surprisingly the slowest one out of the three of us. So we got there on time, went on several rides like Tatsu (a very good one), The Riddler's Revenge (it hurts your head and your neck, ehhh ride), Batman the ride (not bad), Superman the Escape (very chilly in there :) the ride goes so unexpectedly fast), Goliath (awesome ride, riding in the back isn't the best idea, if you get sick of roller coasters), and Scream (a little overrated, but still good). Tip: get the flash pass. We got them, but basically the guys didn't take it cuz the lines weren't even that long so they just let us through, so we only waited like 5 minutes for each ride, so sweeettt. By like the afternoon, I decided that roller coasters weren't really my thing, I had a bad headache and the rides were making me nauseous :( After that we left the park, went back to the hotel to chill for a bit, went to target to get stuff, I got dramamine for my headache, it was practically my best friend during that trip because when we went back to the park, I was so hyped up to go on more rides.

    Saturday, June 7
I got a haircut, a very short haircut. I am donating about 9 inches of hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign. I haven't had my hair this short since 7th grade, so it's been about 5 years... Surprisingly I didn't cry this time, the last time I got my hair cut more than like five inches I was crying for about a week. This time, I think it was I kept telling myself that I was going to get a haircut for over a year now that it just felt natural. So I'm pretty excited about my new haircut, I could go on and on rambling about my short hair and how it is so short and how it is so easy to comb through and how it is so quick to dry... obnoxious huh...

    awkward moments define my life

a guy can't hurt you if you don't let them

Faith makes all things possible, love makes it easy.

Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love, because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

    Harold: I love you.
Maude: Oh, Harold... That's wonderful. Go and love some more.

Boys are cheats and liars, they're such a big disgrace. They will tell you anything to get to second base... ball, baseball he thinks he's gonna score. If you let him go all the way then you are a hor... ticulture studies flowers, geologist studies rocks. The only thing a guy wants from you is a place to put his cock... roaches, beetles, butterflies and bugs. Nothing makes him happier than a giant pair of jug... glers and acrobats, a dancing bear named Chuck. All guys really want to do is - forget it, no such luck.

Yo Yo Yo! All you sucka MCs ain't got nothin' on me! From my grades, to my lines you can't touch Kevin G! I'm a mathlete, so nerd is inferred, but forget what you heard I'm like James Bond the third, sh-sh-sh-shaken not stirred - I'm Kevin Gnapoor! The G's silent when I sneak through your door. And make love to your woman on the bathroom floor. I don't play it like Shaggy, you'll know it was me. Cause the next time you see her she'll be like, OOH! KEVIN G!
