Friday, June 20First week of work over! Sitting at a desk for six hours is pretty boring, but I just found out how much I get paid and I'm pretty excited about it. I decided that I am going to put half of it in my savings for college so that I don't spend it all like I did working at Macy's, haha. After work, KK and I went to the movies and watched
Get Smart, it was pretty good, Steve Carell is so funny! After the movies, I met up with my friend and went to eggetts, then Quickly for dinner, yummmy, I need to try their frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt is becoming so popular now.
Monday, June 16First day of work. It really didn't feel like work, that's the best part. So basically I get paid to sit at the desk and edit film from the Sichuan earthquake in China, it is a pretty educational job, and the best part is that I don't dread going there. Unlike Quickly or Macy's, ughhhh, it's not that bad. I've had like no experience film editing before, so that makes it cool to know that that's ok. The first day was pretty slow...
Thursday, June 12Drove back home today. We didn't go as fast... sorta. So there's like a quarter of a gallon in my tank, and my friend was driving and he tells me this, so I'm like ok we'll go to the next station, but the next one wasn't for like another 20 miles, so I'm like well you should probably drive a little slower (he was going about 80) and I'm all like thinking, driving faster doesn't help when you're low on gas! It was always so awkward when Ron was in the front of the car, because if KK or I was driving the car would be like completely silent, except for the radio. But whenever it was KK and I in the front, we would be constantly talking, lmao. So we went home, a few hours later a couple of my friends came over. We were playing SSB on the old nintendo, so different from the wii. After that we were playing twister, lol, I lasted like 3 minutes, I couldn't stop laughing! and then we played apples to apples, pretty fun card game!
Wednesday, June 11We decided not to leave so early today. So we stayed at the room until the afternoon. Finally got lunch and went to the park. Rode on more rides and made a better use of our flash passes. We used it on all of the rides except for
X2, that one just came out, and it was so worth the two hour wait! That ride was so awesome! No lie, its like one of those rides that you see on tv shows that over exaggerate about a roller coaster, that ride was like one of those over exaggerated roller coasters. You basically move 360* around and around, and the first drop was insane! There was also surprising elements there too, considering that this was the only ride we actually had to legitly wait, it was so worth it. We saw the Batman show later, it was pretty good, took pictures, we went towards the front of the line for most of the rides that day. It is so much more fun, even though its a bit slower, its so much better to enjoy. Haha, so when we were on Goliath, we made the funniest picture ever. Ron looks like he's on the verge of saying mofo, KK looks insane, and I look like I'm making a thizz face, rofl! It was pretty cold down here, surprisingly... Went to dinner at rubio's, mmm, then the hotel room, watched
21, it was a pretty good movie, not worth the $13 that my friend paid for, I liked the NUMB3RS episode better, more math involved, they didn't explain much in the movie.
Tuesday, June 10Woke up at around 4AM, got dressed, stopped by Safeway to get water and ice, and began our senior trip to Magic Mountain. I had the first shift, basically its about 390 miles south, and I'm driving the first hour while my friend's drove the other shifts. Basically google maps predicted that we'd get there in a little over five hours, we cut that down to four hours. It's not like we were in a hurry, because we got there before the park even opened, but my friends are like speed demons, plus speeding on highway five is a given. I was surprisingly the slowest one out of the three of us. So we got there on time, went on several rides like Tatsu (a very good one), The Riddler's Revenge (it hurts your head and your neck, ehhh ride), Batman the ride (not bad), Superman the Escape (very chilly in there :) the ride goes so unexpectedly fast), Goliath (awesome ride, riding in the back isn't the best idea, if you get sick of roller coasters), and Scream (a little overrated, but still good). Tip: get the flash pass. We got them, but basically the guys didn't take it cuz the lines weren't even that long so they just let us through, so we only waited like 5 minutes for each ride, so sweeettt. By like the afternoon, I decided that roller coasters weren't really my thing, I had a bad headache and the rides were making me nauseous :( After that we left the park, went back to the hotel to chill for a bit, went to target to get stuff, I got dramamine for my headache, it was practically my best friend during that trip because when we went back to the park, I was so hyped up to go on more rides.
Saturday, June 7I got a haircut, a very short haircut. I am donating about 9 inches of hair to the
Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign. I haven't had my hair this short since 7th grade, so it's been about 5 years... Surprisingly I didn't cry this time, the last time I got my hair cut more than like five inches I was crying for about a week. This time, I think it was I kept telling myself that I was going to get a haircut for over a year now that it just felt natural. So I'm pretty excited about my new haircut, I could go on and on rambling about my short hair and how it is so short and how it is so easy to comb through and how it is so quick to dry... obnoxious huh...
